Valuations Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished Valuations Specialist to join our clients Finance team. This role is central to safeguarding the financial integrity of our operations, with opportunities to lead biological asset valuations, manage lease portfolios, and support strategic financial decision-making. The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise, analytical depth, and leadership capability, contributing to high-level reporting, governance, and long-term value creation.
Requirements:
• Honours degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or a related field
• CA(SA) qualification advantageous
• Proven experience in biological asset or forestry valuation aligned to IAS 41
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS 16 lease accounting
• Experience in sundry debtor management and fixed asset management
• Ability to prepare audit files, perform analytical reviews, and deliver valuation insights
• Leadership or team management experience, including mentoring and coaching staff
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
