Tax Manager (Client Portfolio Compliance)

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-driven, experienced Tax Manager to join the tax division of an established financial services and accounting group at their Tyger Waterfront office in Cape Town. Working alongside an energetic team of tax managers, this role takes complete ownership of tax compliance for a dedicated client portfolio. You will be responsible for preparing and submitting income tax returns across individuals, companies, and trusts, managing SARS eFiling workflows, resolving SARS verifications/queries, and driving portfolio billing. If you hold an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Tax, bring completed SAICA/SAIPA/ACCA articles, and possess strong working knowledge of SARS eFiling and GreatSoft, this position offers an exceptional career environment.

Requirements:
• Education & Qualifications: Relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent tertiary qualification in Accounting or Taxation.
• Professional Registration: Registration as an accredited Tax Practitioner with SARS/SAIT is highly preferred.
• Articles & Practice Experience: Completed formal articles (SAICA, SAIPA, or ACCA) with a strong preference for experience managing a client tax portfolio within a practice environment.
• SARS eFiling Mastery: Deep, practical working knowledge of SARS eFiling for corporate, individual, and trust income tax submissions, provisional tax, and query management.
• Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with GreatSoft or BSharp software systems is highly advantageous.
• Portfolio Administration: Demonstrated capability to manage client billing for tax services, maintain compliance trackers, and deliver high-quality correspondence with SARS and clients.
